Muscadine Bloodline – the duo of Charlie Muncaster and Gary Stanton – have followed a blueprint all their own and have achieved massive amounts of independent success that has catapulted their status among the country music scene since first breaking into it with “Porch Swing Angel.”

Their monumental sophomore album, Dispatch to 16th Ave, saw them turning more toward a neo-traditional sound then we’ve heard from them in the past, while still upholding their signature rich harmonies, solid lead vocals, and outstanding songwriting.

Having earned over 14 million streams so far on the album, the duo now returns and continues riding their wave of momentum with their brand-new single “Me On You.”

The song, written by Muncaster and Stanton with Ryan Youmans, gives us a swampy, gritty mud stomping rhythm that pulls straight from their Alabama country roots to keep you bopping along with its twang filled melody.

However, from the get-go, you immediately can hear that this is a song that solely relies on the strong vocals to truly carry it as Muncaster hits us into the cold opening, singing of how the girl he’s sweet on is revving him up to the point of no return when he warns on the very first line:

Girl, I hope your daddy doesn't own a gun, if he does, then I'm done from the things that you're doing to me.”

The song twists and turns from there as it winds us through all the different ways that she “runs the coop,” while hitting on several Southern referenced phrasing, giving insight to how she’s making his heart race as she has him fumbling and stumbling and needing her “kiss like a catfish need a stank bait.”

All of this, however, is designed to push you into the toe-tapping chorus where they infuse the song with their stellar harmonies, singing comparative lines about how she’s got him wrapped around her finger and completely stuck on her, such as:

Like white on rice in your mama's jambalaya you ain't had in while.”

Like black on night by the mighty Mississippi, she's a-running for miles.”

They perfectly capture the emotions felt of being crazy over someone as you’re falling deeper for them and crushing harder than you ever had before, but they also find a way to keep this fresh and exciting as they inject the song with cleverly worded lines that are spit out at a mostly rapid pace to keep you closely listening and invested.

Much in the vein of “Dyin’ For A Livin’,” “Me On You” presents another catchy, barn burner from Muscadine Bloodline that is surely going to be a smash with audiences during their live shows, while also resonating with radio to continue pushing their status even higher.
