Season 15 alum of The Voice, Kameron Marlowe was working as a car parts salesman when a talent recruiter from the television program came across some of his live performance videos on YouTube. He made it onto the show, and he was picked by Blake Shelton for his team before being stolen by Adam Levine.

Marlowe first became interested in music through his grandfather, who would play country music when he took him hunting and fishing. His career started, however, when he began singing in church and would later become a worship leader.

His newest single “Tequila Talkin’,” written by Marlowe, Ray Fulcher, and Dan Isbell, is the follow-up to “Sober As A Drunk” – a song released from his self-titled EP.

The rock-infused melody leans on the smooth, upbeat side of country with some very catchy and flirtatious lyrics that takes you into the bar and out onto the dance floor.

The lyrics contain some cute play on words such as when the Marlowe sings, “The way you’re smiling’s got me thinking maybe, we should let the salt and the lime have its way” and “Got me buzzing on something stronger than alcohol”.

“Tequila Talkin’” is the type of song that will have you swinging on the dance floor with your special someone when the DJ spins it at your favorite dance hall.

Be sure to catch Marlowe this summer when he hits the road with Brad Paisley. Check his site for dates and locations.
