JORDYN SHELLHART FT. CHARLIE WORSHAM - A Nice Thing To Do - Warner Music Nashville

Wyoming native Jordyn Shellhart enjoyed a breakout year in 2023, releasing her debut album, ‘Primrose’, and being named a member of 2024’s CMT Listen Up Class.  Now, the Warner Music Nashville recording artist is kicking off the new year with a new song that promises to keep the momentum of successful releases going strong.  “A Nice Thing To Do,” featuring Charlie Worsham, is available digitally and on all streaming platforms now.

Since the first time we heard her music, it has been apparent and obvious that Shellhart is a true songwriter to her core.  Her idealistic and honest approach to songwriting is impressive and admirable, and “A Nice Thing To Do” is no different.  Written by Jordyn along with Cameron Jaymes, this is a song that has a clear, driven message, and one that we all need to hear once in a while.

Musically, the arrangement is flawless, as the melody glides along beautifully and effortlessly alongside the complimentary vocals of Shellhart and Worsham.

“I’ve looked up to Charlie since before he even released any solo music.  He’s an absolutely world class artist,” Jordyn shared.  “And he’s taking me out on tour this year, which is the NICEST, nice thing to do.  So having him on this song really is a dream come true”.

The lyrics are down-to-earth, wholesome, and relatable, but her ability to tell a story and captivate the listener’s thoughts and emotions takes this tune to another level.  All in all, it’s a poetically crafted tune, offering the listener a glimpse into the heart and mind of the songwriters on a personal level, something that a lot of songs strive for, but not many achieve.

“You should be careful who you treat like that at a party

What if your castle ever crumbles under you?

You never know, someday they might be somebody

And if not it’s still not a nice thing to do”

Her debut album with Warner Music Nashville, “Primrose’ was released on May 19, 2023, to praise from fans and critics alike.  Standout tracks “Who Are You Mad At”, “Tell Your Mother I’m Fine”, and “Maybe Someday You’ll Have a Daughter” demanded the attention of the country music world, formally introducing the industry to the Wyoming native’s emotive storytelling and soulful melodies.

“A Nice Thing To Do” serves as the first taste of new music of the new year for Shellhart.  With a run on Worsham’s tour scheduled and more new music on the way, 2024 is looking to take Jordyn’s career to yet another unprecedented level.
