As many musicians have attested, the pandemic-enslaved last 14 months abruptly halted touring schedules, but did enable more time for the creative juices to flow in the songwriting realm.

Platinum selling group James Barker Band recently announced their record deal with Sony Music Nashville, while also revealing their release on the label, “Over All Over Again”.

The song sets new heights for the band, with undeniably catchy sing along lyrics accompanied by a blues-influenced somber melody.  Focusing on the internal dispute between holding on and letting go, the track tells the story of someone who can’t get over the heartbreak and repetitively falls back into self-destructing habits with a relationship that is doomed to fail.

“Like déjà vu our old song comes on

Baby, right on cute, it sure don’t feel wrong

All caught up in this moment, don’t care how it ends

Feels like we ain’t over all over again”

Over the past six years, James Barker & Co. have gone from opening gigs in bars to tracking millions of streams globally.  Following the hit singles “Chills”, “Just Sayin’”, “Good Together”, and “Keep It Simple”, the release of “Over All Over Again”, the sky is the limit for this Ontario, Canada quartet.
