KANE BROWN - Fiddle In The Band - RCA Records Nashville

With “One Mississippi,” “Like I Love Country Music,” “Thank God,” “Bury Me In Georgia,” and most recently, “I Can Feel It,” having each notched number one accolades on Kane Brown’s already tremendous resume, it’s perfectly obvious why his upcoming ‘In The Air’ tour is one of the most anticipated of 2024.

With the tour launching a week from this writing, Brown is now adding extra fuel to the buzz with the official release of fan favorite, “Fiddle In The Band.”

Written by Brown, Gabe Foust, Jordan Walker, and Russell Sutton, the fiery anthem drenches itself in prominent fiddle that laces the rock kissed edges of guitar and the richness of Kane’s smooth vocal as he autobiographically weaves and thumps through the impact that music, of all genres, has made on him and his life.

Painting the blurred view perspective from the morning after last night’s party, Brown tallies the opening verse with a list that instantly connects the two atmospheres; from his ears still ringing when he woke up in the morning to the downtown scene last night where he was singing along with every word.

Striking the chorus with a shift that turns up the autobiographical, Brown expertly defines who he is and where he comes from through a snapshot of his music influence:

“I’m just like you

I was raised on the radio

From Memphis blues to Hollywood rock ’n’ roll

Took a trip to Music City

Brought a little bit of everything with me

I’m a little bit of bass, 808s, a little bit of clap your hands

I’m a little bit a six-strings on a backbeat

With a fiddle in the band”

Playing off the definitions he punched through the chorus, he continues outlining who he is throughout the second verse with cleverly crafted musicology references that compares him to a mix CD in an ’03 Mustang while unapologetically embracing the fact that he’s a blend of R&B with a touch of twang.

Though the genre-bending superstar has been teasing a possible new album for quite some time, the release of “Fiddle In The Band” is a direct highlight toward his upcoming tour; a sonic blast that could see this song land as the opener of his set in an out the gate effort to amp his already exuberant crowd to ecstatic heights.
