CARLY PEARCE - Heels Over Head - Big Machine Records

Good luck finding a busier country music star than Carly Pearce.  The award-winning, chart-topping songstress has been touring and releasing new music virtually non-stop for the past few years, and she is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

While her acclaimed Top-35 single “We Don’t Fight Anymore” (featuring Chris Stapleton) continues climb the charts and her fan-favorite “Country Music Made Me Do It” has fans singing along at her shows across the country, Pearce is releasing yet another brand-new tune that promises to raise some eyebrows and entice us all to put on our dancing boots.

“Heels Over Head” is a tongue-in-cheek, sarcastic ode to a love interest who she has realized tends of prefer a more provocative option.  The upbeat, satirically cynical tune is available now digitally and on all streaming platforms via Big Machine Records.

Pearce’s ability to infuse elements of traditional country, along with her signature vocal delivery, lend itself to the more conservative country music stylists while also ushering in some more modern vibes that keep the younger, newer audience enthused.

While the beat and melody keep the heads bobbing and toes tapping, and while Carly’s vocals are as impressively authentic as ever, the cleverly crafted lyrics steal the show on this track.  Word by word, line by line, this song puts the listener in the frame of mind of where the singer is coming from, setting the scene and telling a story of realization and affirmation.  There are lines that will make you raise your eyebrows, and lines that will make you laugh, all the while encouraging us to learn the words so we can sing along the next time we hear it.

“All over town, all over you

She’s good at the things good girls don’t do

Knows how to war red and her way around a bed

Bet you’re head over heels ‘cause she’s heels over head for you”

Carly has made herself a household name in country music through her talented songwriting centered on love and hate and the beginning and end of relationships.  Her talent for consistently engaging her audience to relate to different perspectives of a similar situation is unprecedented.  This is a more light-hearted approach to the end of a love interest, while offering a sarcastic, “turn-the-page-quickly” style of resolution, realizing that “He’s interested in someone else, and I’m better off for it”.

The Grammy, CMA, and ACM Award-winning artist kicked off her headlining COUNTRY MUSIC MADE ME DO IT TOUR on October 5th at The Town hall in New York City.  The 15-date trek will see Carly hitting major markets across the country, wrapping on November 18th at The Fillmore in Detroit, MI.  Featuring special guests Adam Doleac and Hannah Ellis on select dates, the tour has been one of the more anticipated runs of the fall.  She had previously announced her appearance as a special guest on Tim McGraw’s STANDING ROOM ONLY tour, which kids off in March 2024 and will stretch through the spring and summer at arenas across the country.
