DYLAN SCOTT - I'll Be A Bartender - Curb Records

Country music star and Curb Records recording artist Dylan Scott is set to kick off his headlining THIS TOWN’S BEEN TOO GOOD TO US TOUR on October 12th in Knoxville, TN.  The 15-date trek, including direct support from Matt Schuster and Tayler Holder, will featuring selections from the multi-platinum Louisiana native’s ever-growing musical catalogue, including his brand-new single.

Written by Rocky Block, John Byron, Grady Block, and Jordan Dozzi, “I’ll Be A Bartender” tells a tale of someone who is helping another move on from a break-up, all the while willing to be her rebound.  Relationships are complicated, and thoughts and emotions can become entangled and misconstrued unintentionally.  This is a story of being there when someone calls on you for emotional support, and while you want to help the person cope, you are also emotionally invested in the hopes of a relationship yourself.

This tune is cleverly crafted lyrically, with the anecdotes and metaphors relentlessly painting a picture and setting the scene of Scott and his love interest discussing their feelings over drinks.

“Yeah, park where you used to park, don’t leave it runnin’

I’ll pour what you used to pour soon as you come in

Yeah, go turn my couch into a barstool, babe

You’ll be the tipsy kiss I want to taste”

One of the trademarks of Dylan’s music over the years has been its unapologetic approach to infuse other genres’ elements into his brand of country.  Always lending itself to the modern vibe of the genre, “I’ll Be A Bartender” features an upbeat, bumping vibe and melody that could easily land itself on pop radio.  Scott’s vocal delivery and natural twang bring the tune back to the country side a bit, as this song musically truly represents who he is as an artist and the sound he has created, much to the delight of his exponentially-growing fan base.

The release of “I’ll Be A Bartender” comes as Dylan is still enjoying the highly-touted success of his Gold-certified hit, “Can’t Have Mine (Find You A Girl)”.  Currently a Top 10 single (and still climbing) at country radio, the tune has served as one of his biggest mainstream breakthrough releases, which is included on his most recent LP, ‘Livin’ My Best Life’.

To date, Scott has also tallied three No. 1 singles (“My Girl”, “Nobody” and “New Truck”) as well as a Top 5 hit “Hooked”.  With over 2 billion digital streams to date, continuous hit singles and a headlining tour ready to kick off, Scott is putting an exclamation point on his most successful year yet.
