PEYTAN PORTER - Speaking of Georgia - Warner Chappel/Jody Williams Songs

Georgia native and Warner Chappel recording artist Peytan Porter is taking a nostalgic look back at her first love in her latest single, available on all streaming platforms now.

“Speaking Of Georgia” takes the listener on a trip back in time, as Peytan reminisces on the past while wondering what could have been if things had turned out differently.  Written by Porter along with Billy Montana and Mark Trussel, the song serves as everything we have come to know and love from this talented southern belle turned rebellious rock starlet.

The honest, vulnerable lyrics speak straight to the heart of the listener, while the mid-tempo melody somberly twists its way through the emotional roller-coaster that we all feel when taking a trip down memory lane.

“Speaking of Georgia, you’ve been on my mind

Tell me, do you ever wonder how it could’ve been sometimes?

I look for ya whenever I come back through town

God, I wish that I was leaving on a midnight train right now

Speaking of Georgia, you’ve been on my mind”

Always pining for the songs that are the most relatable, Peytan once again succeeds at wearing her heart on her sleeve and delivering those emotionally driven lines that stay with the listener long after the song’s conclusion.

“As you move through life, you often wonder what might have happened if you took a different path – I think that feeling is something that a lot of people have experienced,” she shared.  “People responded really well to this song when I first shared it on TikTok so I’m excited to have this final version out that I can share with everybody.”

It has been an incredibly impressive stretch for this talented songstress, who is still enjoying the success of her previous released single, “God’s Hotel.”  The tune made waves on Spotify, Amazon Music, and Pandora, while Porter has been introducing herself to audiences nationwide while appearing at some of the biggest country festivals of the year, including CMA Fest, Beach It!, Faster Horses, and Watershed, among others.

In addition to her highly-successful debut project, ‘In My Head,’ having tallied 10 million streams across multiple platforms, Peytan has also earned a loyal and massive following, with more than 320,000 follows across socials and 50 million views on TikTok.  Having shared the stage with the likes of everyone from Willie Nelson and Larry Fleet to Jon Pardi and Brett Eldredge, Porter is making a name for herself as a talented singer, songwriter, and must-see performer.
