KYLIE MORGAN - Making It Up As I Go - EMI Records Nashville

EMI Nashville recording artist Kylie Morgan is set to release her debut album, ‘Making It Up As I Go,’ on October 13th.  In anticipation of the 12-song set, the Oklahoma native has released the record’s title track, which is available now digitally and on all streaming platforms.

“I wrote this song from a very vulnerable place,” Kylie shared.  “I hate to admit it, but I can’t help but compare myself to others.  But I know that we are all on our own path and reminding myself and all of us that God’s timing I know is better than mine.”

A strong social media presence, a fun-loving attitude, and an uncanny ability to write and sing high-quality country music has made her one of the more sought-after performers on the country music circuit over the past couple years.  However, what should never be underappreciated is her talent as a songwriter and vocalist.  Kylie speaks from experience and she writes from the heart, and exposing her vulnerabilities as a person is one of the reasons why she has a devoted following while also gains new fans with every song released and every show played.

“Making It Up As I Go” is an honest, unapologetic admission that she doesn’t have it all figured out, and that’s OK.  Things don’t always work out the way we think they will or how we think they should.  We don’t have all of the answers and don’t know what the future holds.  How boring would that be anyway?  And while it’s hard not knowing what will happen and when, that’s part of the beauty of life.  Having faith and putting trust in a power greater than all of us that things will work out the way they are meant to be.

“Getting older don’t make you wiser

It’s the heartbreaks along the way

And some prayers just don’t get answered

Until you look back someday”

While her hit single, “If He Wanted To He Would,” is still impacting country radio, Kylie has continued to release a string of highly regarded tunes from fans and critics alike, including “Sugar Daddy” and “A Few Hearts Ago”…and now, “Making It Up As I Go.”

Kylie is enjoying a career-changing year here in 2023, which has included a CMT Music Awards nomination as well as eclipsing the 400 million global stream mark.  She headlined her own tour earlier this year, and is now jumping on the road as the special guest on Old Dominion’s No Bad Vibes Tour, which will hit cities coast to coast from now through the end of the year.
