‘Bigger Houses,’ the fifth studio album from multi-Platinum, 3X Grammy-winning duo Dan + Shay, will be released on September 15th via Warner Music Nashville.  In anticipation of the record, a number of tracks have already been made available, including the lead single “Save Me The Trouble,” “Heartbreak On The Map,” as well as the title track.

Now, only a couple weeks prior to the highly-anticipated record dropping, the duo has released a fun new tune for us all to enjoy – “We Should Get Married” is available digitally and on all streaming platforms now.

From their chart-topping hits to their incredibly impressive live shows, Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney have become renowned for their ability to deliver a heart-pounding, tear-jerking ballad time after time.  And while the compliments are deserved and are appreciated, the duo’s new tune is a statement that they can kick things up a notch, have a good time, and dance to a light-hearted melody.

Written by Smyers along with Jimmy Robbins and Ernest Keith Smith, “We Should Get Married” departs itself from what we have subconsciously come to expect from this duo.  After opening to a slow first verse headlined by Shay’s beautifully poignant vocals accompanied by a somber piano melody, the song ignites into a jubilant upbeat party anthem that lasts from the first chorus through the tune’s conclusion.

Breaking the mold of conventional ways of thinking about wedding songs, Dan + Shay jive and dance their way through a party-anthem celebration of love.  It’s happy, fun-loving and exciting, and will undoubtedly draw listeners in with its deliciously catchy melody and sappy yet clever sing-along lyrics.

“Get you in a white dress, I could rent a cheap suit

Feed each other weddin’ cake, book a little honeymoon

Seven days in Paris, yeah, I’m talkin’ Tennessee

Ain’t no point in waitin’, baby, I’ve been saying

We should get married”

As they prepare to embark on the next chapter of their career, Dan + Shay have already solidified themselves as one of the most successful acts of the past decade.  They have tallied a total of over 11 billion streams thus far, including multiple No. 1 singles and a total of 49 RIAA Platinum and Gold certifications in the United States.  Since the release of their debut album, ‘Where It All Began,’ in 2014, the duo has won multiple Grammy Awards, CMT Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards, and Billboard Music Awards, all the while selling out countless concerts across the world.

Now, with a fresh perspective, new energy, and an upcoming album due in weeks, Dan + Shay are poised to once again take the country music world by storm…one chart-topping single at a time.
