Known for his smash hits “Got Your Name On It,” “Count The Ways,” “She Don’t Know,” and “Close,” multi-platinum country artist Jade Eagleson has quickly moved his status in just a few short years from being an on the rise artist to watch to one who has arrived, carving out his neo-traditional brand as he brings back an intriguing flare of classic country ideals embedded into a 90’s country influence.

This past year has seen him igniting dance hall floors and peaking a buzz with several glimpses into his upcoming album (due out Fall 2023) including “Honky Talkin’,” “Rodeo Queen,” and “Shakin’ In Them Boots.”

He now gives us our next tease with his brand-new song, “Neon Dreamin’.”

Written by Gordie Sampson, Kelly Archer and Dylan Guthro, the song leans its rhythm into a midtempo driven slow dance kissed style that will keep couples close to one another as they surround the parameter of the Friday night dancehall floor, while a surefire line dance attached to this melody will see several others clicking boot heels in the center of the hardwood.

However, it’s the innocence embedded into Jade’s voice that enhances the flirtatious lyric which sees him rolling the dice on the country queen he spots at the bar, taking his shot with her, and seemingly coming up on the winning end.

Endearingly flabbergasted by the fact that him sending a drink over to her has actually got her looking his way, he sings through the playful chorus:

“Must be neon dreamin

Cause I ain’t never seen an angel shooting whiskey

That scoot in them boots queen

Is heaven in blue jeans

Don’t nobody pinch me

Yeah, she’s outta my league

But I swear she’s smiling at me

So just let me keep on neon dreamin’”

Advancing their getting to know each other story forward in the second verse through very descriptive lyrics, we see them hitting it off more and more as she leaves her lipstick on his whiskey glass and tugs him out to the dance floor by his jean jacket sleeve.

By expertly leaving their ending completely open-ended, only saying that they’ve reached last call while never actually revealing what happened between the two of them after closing time, he allows the listener to then fit their own personal scenario into the story and finish writing it in a way that strongly connects with them.

Satisfying the honky-tonk heart with a memorable melody and relatable lyric, Jade Eagleson not only continues to deliver extremely likeable songs with “Neon Dreamin’,” but he 100% hypes the buzz that much more for his forthcoming album.
