Gabriella and Bianca LeDuc, collectively known as Diamond Dixie, have released a brand-new song about having fun, letting loose, and meeting someone new.  “Catching A Buzz” is available digitally and on all streaming platforms now.

The sister duo and TCM Class of 2022 artist have been honing their craft as songwriters, singers, and performers since the release of their debut EP in 2015.  Their combination of creative storytelling and relatability with vocal talent and effortless musical compatibility has put them in elite company, all the while showcasing the ability to encompass a sound truly their own. 

Further, what makes this duo especially unique and intriguing is their ability to take on sentimental and even somber subject matter with one single, and then flip the script and have a fun and care-free attitude on the next tune.  For two young artists to encompass the ability and musical maturity to tackle topics like heartache and grief while also partying with sing-along anthems, and for all to be so well received, is incredibly impressive.

The sisters expressed their excitement for the new tune on social media, giving us all a glimpse into the conception of the track.

“Picture this!  You’re on vacation and walk up to the beachside bar to get a fruity little drink and spot yourself a cutie from across the bar.  3 tequila sodas later, you get a little bold, walk up to him, not tryin’ to catch any feelings, just wanna have a fun time catching a buzz with a cute boy.”

The slow, subdued intro showcases the beautiful harmonies and vocals of the sisters, telling the tale of going out on the town as the chorus breaks, putting the cards on the table and being honest about what they’re looking for tonight.

“Talk to me baby

Put your lips on mine

Tell me what you’re thinking

I don’t like wasting time”

This is a fun song and perfect for summer.  It is a representation of something to which we are all able to relate on some level, wanting to have a good time without any strings beyond that night.  It’s raw, simple, and honest, and we are loving it! 

“Catching A Buzz” follows the highly regarded single “The Best A Broken Heart Can Do” as well as “Lock It Up,” “Through With You,” and “PDA.”  Since releasing their debut self-titled EP in 2015, the sisters have taken huge strides and improved immensely as singers and songwriters, as showcased in 2017’s ‘Reckless,’ 2021’s ‘Growing Wings,’ and now with their new tunes.  “Catching A Buzz” is sure to be fan favorite and will further introduce them to the wider country music audience, continuing to ignite the flame behind one of the more exciting female duos in the genre.
