Uh oh…Laine Lonero got herself in trouble again!  The Louisiana native and rising pop-country singer-songwriter is back with a brand new single, sharing a first-person account of the trials and tribulations she experiences primarily due to her poor decisions.

“Trouble,” written by Lonero along with Justin Williams and Ryan Scott Smith, and produced by Chris August, is available everywhere digitally to stream or download now.

Laine’s latest release is an honest, up-front, vulnerable account of her self-proclaimed shortcomings when it comes to the choices she makes throughout relationships.  It’s a self-realization account of her experiences on the dating scene, and while she’s aware of the eventual outcome of the situation, she can’t seem to bring herself to “correct” her questionable decision-making.  It’s an unapologetic account of who she is in her current state as she summarizes the thoughts and emotions she’s feeling when she meets someone new that interests her.

“It’s really about not learning from your relationship mistakes and repeating bad patterns when it comes to finding that special someone,” Laine told TCM.  “My friends tell me I look for the wrong things and one day I will figure it out.  I’m hoping they know what they are talking about.”

Musically, “Trouble” is a pop-country track to its core.  It incorporates the traits we have come to know and love from a Lonero tune while always adding something unique, a different element to keep us on our toes.

The grooving vibe is a constant from the onset, keeping the listener on edge and swaying to the beat, all the while zoning in on the story-telling lyrics professed through Laine’s powerfully sultry vocals. The verses break into an anthemic chorus, showcasing her musical flexibility and range.

“Been with your type before

And I know how it ends

Maybe I don’t wanna fight it

‘Cause I think I kinda like it

No use trying to pretend

I’m in trouble again”

Her subdued approach to the verses and emotionally driven prowess on the choruses is an effective technique which maintains the attention of the listener throughout the entire track.

“Trouble” follows “Broke,” which served as a breakthrough for Laine as it further introduced her to the wider country music market.  The song enjoyed renowned success digitally as well as on Spotify, with subsequent releases expected to follow that same trend.

The Louisiana-native first garnered the music industry’s buzz with the release of her debut single, “No Sweat,” and now the talented songstress resides in Nashville where she attends Belmont University’s songwriting program, all the while continues to hone her craft as an artist and demand the attention of the pop country world and beyond.  In an utterly competitive market for young women in the most popular genre in music, Laine continues to pave a path and make a name for herself, distinguishing herself as a truly unique talent in this industry.
