Full disclosure: Tracy Lawrence is one of my favorite artists. I could listen to him sing the phone book (on loop.) If you ask what a phone book is, then Google it.

Tracy’s upcoming single ‘Price of Fame” features Eddie Montgomery. Adding Montgomery' sexy baritone voice to it made an amazing song even better. Their voices blend well but offer a fun contrast.

You know they lived the song when you hear it. It's about the sacrifices you make to follow your dreams. Lawrence is celebrating 30 years in the music business and it’s had its ups and downs. Written by Brad Arnold, Rick Huckaby and Lawrence, the song offers a bit of guidance to others chasing the dream and reflects on his career. The lyric video features some behind the scenes footage from recent shows.

“When I started working on this Hindsight 2020 project for my 30th year in music, I was thinking back on all the years on the road and the sacrifices any touring artist makes along the way. This song really hits home for me,” says Tracy. “If anyone knows the challenges of being away, it's Eddie. We are longtime friends and him joining me on this track made it special.  We had a blast putting this one together.”

It is the first single on his upcoming Hindsight 2020 Volume 2: Price Of Fame album, The single is available now - request it on your favorite radio stations, request it on your cousin’s favorite station, request it on your least favorite stations, download it on iTunes. When the album comes out on August 13th, BUY IT! Buy it on vinyl & CD. Buy it on cassette or 8-track (just kidding, those aren’t a thing.) Seriously, though, you’ll want a copy of this project.

The price of fame can be pretty hefty but they have both used their fame to help others. Tracy does the Mission Possible Turkey Fry, among other causes. Eddie does a charitable golf tournament and helps several other causes. I’d go into all of the good they do but this would be a very long review.
