Muscle Shoals, AL native Rachel Wammack has released her latest single, “Girl’s Gotta Know”, available everywhere now via RCA Records Nashville.

Co-written by Wammack along with Jim McCormick, the song is a statement to a lover in a relationship about how she should be treated, respected and valued.  It’s an ode to empowerment and self-assurance as well as knowing one’s self-worth while sharing what her values are when it comes to a relationship.

As has been the case with all of her music to this point, “Girl’s Gotta Know” showcases Rachel’s incredible vocal prowess.  Seemingly effortless throughout the track, she displays her range and vocal power amid the verse and chorus melodies.

Lyrically, this song is on point as well.  The down-to-earth, relatable storyline paints a picture, putting the listener right into the moment to perfectly understand where the singer is coming from while offering a glimpse into the details of the relationship.

The girl’s gotta know who you say she is when you talk to your friends

If you feel it when she walks in,

You don’t have to say it, but it better show

‘Cause the girl’s gotta know

Like many aspiring singer-songwriters on the country music circuit, Rachel draws inspiration for her music from her personal experiences, something that is immediately apparent upon listening to the emotion and vocal delivery of her songs.

Wammack, despite a brief hiatus, has returned in a furry, releasing two singles, the first of which being “Like Me”, an autographical account of the emotional journey one takes when trying to uphold a perfect image.

Since she first broke onto the underground music scene, she has been renowned as one of the more promising up-and-coming singer-songwriters in Music City.  She was named as one of Rolling Stone’s “10 New Country Artists You Need To Know”, included on CMT’s “Next Women of Country” and Bobby Bones’ “Women of IHeartCountry”, as well as been labeled an “Artist to Watch” by the likes of Pandora, Entertainment Weekly, and Music Row, among others.

The future is bright for Rachel Wammack, and the future is also bright for the life of her latest single, “Girl’s Gotta Know”, which promises to be a favorite of country music fans upon their first listen.
