“DNA” tells the story of a deep love between two people, but a love that comes not without complications.  One of the trademarks of Christopher’s tunes is that he tells a story while leaving much of the details and outcome up to the individual listener.

Co-written with accomplished songwriter Rand Bishop (Toby Keith’s “My List”), “DNA” is a tune about the trials and triumphs of a loving relationship, a real-life account of the most complicated of emotions.

“But if you think I’ve giving up I’m not

‘Cause I’m this close to everything that I want

It’s in my blood, my DNA

I can’t help myself, I was born this way

Loving you runs through my veins

You’re in my blood, my DNA”

The song is well accomplished musically, with the vocals epitomizing the mood of the track alongside the almost somber-ish vibe of the melody.  The sound design conveys the pertinent amount of energy and soul, putting it in a rare category in today’s ever-modern country genre.

“This is a special song,” Michael shares.  “I think one of the best things about this song is that it can mean something different to every person who hears it.  We want everyone to be able to relate to it, to hear the vocals and the music and feel they way they feel, not the way we want them to feel”.

Michael Christopher has been touring relentlessly across the northeast and beyond, and 2022 is looking like it may be the Pennsylvania native’s busiest year to date.  Stay up to date with all things Michael Christopher, including new music and tour dates at http://www.michaelchristophercountry.com
