TAYLON HOPE - Picket Fence - Independent Release

West Jefferson, NC native Taylon Hope drew inspiration for her latest single from her grandparents, who built a “happily ever after” life together on their farm.  Hoping of a dream-come-true fairytale of her own, Taylon has released “Picket Fence”, available now digitally and on all streaming platforms.

There was a white picket fence around the farm which Hope’s grandparents built their life together, something that the young songstress dreams will happen for her one day with that special someone.

“To me, ‘Picket Fence’ is a beautiful love story about finally finding your soulmate and knowing you are going to build a life with them,” Taylon said.  “There are so many songs out there about breakups and heartache that I wanted to write about when things actually go right, and you do find true love, the kind that lasts forever.”

This is a beautifully written and impeccably delivered song of sentiment, hope, and experience-driven realization and admiration for the most important things life has to offer.  It’s an ode to an unknown love, a declaration to the love she wants and longs for, and the vision she has for her life down the road with the person with whom she is meant to be.

“I want your time

I wanna hold your hand

A long dirt road to our own piece of land

And wanna row old

Make a house a home and live out God’s plan

It sounds a little crazy and it is

But I already see us be painting a picket fence”

It has a nostalgic, timeless vibe, both musically and vocally, offering a listening experience that could resonate in the 90’s or on current radio.  There is a classic element to Hope’s voice, something that sets her apart from so many other young singers on the music scene today.  Her approach to each song and her desire to not only release new music, but establish a foundation for who she is as a singer, songwriter, and artist puts her in elite company, especially at such a young age.

Having released her first EP, ‘What This World Needs’, in 2014 and her second, ‘Showin’ My Roots’, in 2016, Taylon, despite being just a teenager, has been a mainstay in the country music industry for nearly a decade.  From performing at legendary iconic venues in town including The Bluebird Café to sharing the stage with the likes of Shenandoah and T. Graham Brown, Hope continues to hone her craft and engulf herself in the Music City culture at songwriters’ nights in town. Her admirable work ethic paired with her undeniable talent have put her on a path to country music success, now and for years to come.
