MATT SCHUSTER - Last Fall - Warner Music Nashville

Undeniably talented singer-songwriter Matt Schuster is quickly becoming one of the most impressive young artists in country music, and he continues to release songs that speak to his penmanship and vocal ability.  His latest effort, “Last Fall”, is a poetic ode to a love that was once seen as perfect as he pleads for the feelings to last just a little longer.

In a very short amount of time, the Charleston, Il native has made a name for himself in Music City and beyond as a gifted artist with the pen, guitar, and behind the microphone.  Demanding the industry’s attention with “Wasted Prayers” in early 2023 followed by his major label debut single, “Tell Me Tennessee”, Schuster is once again putting us all on notice with perhaps his most impressive tune to date.

Released via Warner Music Nashville, “Last Fall” is headlined by Matt’s mesmerizing vocal performance as he croons his way through a heart-wrenching tale of love’s trials and tribulations.  Once young, promising and strong, the singer sees his relationship as a nostalgic collection of memories as he longs for what might have been and hopes for what can still be.

“Last fall we were fallin’ like the stars

Twenty-one and chasin’ cars

It was happy ever after

Nothin’ mattered at all

Except for you and me

Now it’s hard to believe

Can hardly take it

Heart is breakin’

How we’re changin’ with the leaves”

The lyricism on this tune is top notch, and the emotional agony Schuster is able to convey through his vocal delivery is something many artists on the map strive for but few can achieve consistently and with seemingly such ease.

The fresh-faced Warner Music Nashville artist amassed over 60 million streams across his social media platforms with original tunes including “Know Ya”, “From The Start”, and “Who Are You Kidding” prior to making the move to Nashville.  With the move in his rearview mirror for a year and a half, he inked a publishing deal with UMPG earlier this year, and earned a well-deserved cut on Bailey Zimmerman’s album.  An already-accomplished and sought-after songwriter, the Illinois native has now taken the next step as a major label recording artist.

Having already been on the road with the likes of Ashley Cooke, Dylan Scott and Kameron Marlowe, Schuster has dates scheduled through the end of the year, with 2024 looking to be full of new music, more touring, and continue career-changing escalation into the country music mainstream.
