PARMALEE - Gonna Love You - Stoney Creek Records

North Carolina natives Parmalee recently tallied their fourth No. 1 radio single with their smash hit “Girl In Mine”, and the ACM Award-winning band is showing no signs of slowing down as they have released a brand-new tune.  Much to delight of the hopeless romantic that lives in all of us, “Gonna Love You” is available now digitally and on all streaming platforms.

“This song is special to us in so many ways,” lead singer Matt Thomas shared.  “It’s a song we feel like anyone across the world can relate with.  It’s a combination of all the music we were influenced by growing up.”

Written by Thomas along with David Fanning, Abram Dean, and Andy Sheridan, “Gonna Love You” is a musical testament to the everlasting love felt from one person for another.  It’s a vulnerable, unapologetic confession of feelings and devotion to that someone special. An idealistic love song to its core, the band’s latest release is a tune that starts slow, builds momentum to a mid-tempo, all while offering a catchy, contemporary pop-country melody.  The lyrics are the showcase piece of this track, however, with the focus being on the clear, profound pronunciation of the words spoken right from the heart, spelled out as a love poem.

Thomas’s vocals are on point, as usual, delivering the message with the honesty, veracity, and passion that collectively push the emotional impact of the song to the next level.  It’s an ode to and declaration of everlasting love, and is perfect for a holiday, birthday, or an everyday expression of emotion.  This tune hits in all the right places, and is sure to be yet another mainstream success story for a band that can seemingly do no wrong. 

“Gonna Love You” is featured on the group’s latest album and recently released ‘For You 2.’  Following previous hit singles “Take My Name”, “Just The Way”, and “Carolina”, Parmalee has put together an impressively successful musical catalogue over the years, and it looks like the best may be yet to come with the momentum they continue to build with their latest collection of music. 

An expanded version of their 2021 release, the 18-track ‘For You 2’ features five new tracks, also including “Boyfriend” and “Is It Just Me”.  The band has been on the road extensively throughout 2023 and that trend will continue into the new year, as they will be on board as support on Kane Brown’s tour across the country in the winter and spring of 2024.
