LAINE LONERO - No Makeup- Epochal Artists Records/INgrooves.

Clever lyrics, catchy hooks, and inspiring vocal flexibility take center stage on the latest release by rising singer-songwriter Laine Lonero.  “No Makeup” is available now digitally and on all streaming platforms via Epochal Artists Records / INgrooves.

Written by the Louisiana native along with Stephen Gregory Hunley II and Bobby McLamb, this is a breakup tune infused with crafty wordplay and deliciously catchy melodies that will have the listener toe-tapping and singing along.

Namechecking several popular cosmetic brands through the verses before denouncing her soon-to-be-ex in the chorus, Laine permeates that young, energetic spirit into a track that is sure to be a pop-country anthem to women everywhere.

“Ain’t gonna paint on my face

If you ain’t gonna be here anyway

If you’re gonna give up, ain’t gonna wait up

If you wanna break up, ain’t gonna be no makeup”

Musically, the vibe and melody immediately hook us and reel us in with a smooth, clear resolution, paving the way for an easy listen to the relatable, story-telling lyrics.  Lonero delivers like an industry veteran, with her somberly vulnerable approach through the verses before invoking the confidence and empowerment through the choruses and song’s progression.

The Belmont University student is a talented songwriter and gifted vocalist, and has been honing her craft and developing as a recording artist, and with each new song we hear, the more impressed we are and should be.  She continues to brighten her star in the extremely competitive pop-country market with a combination of relatable, sophisticated lyrical imagery and powerhouse vocal ability.

“No Makeup” follows “Trouble”, released earlier this year to resounding approval and acclaim from fans and critics alike, as well as “Broke”, which served as a breakthrough introduction to the wider country music market.  Having first garnered the industry’s buzz with the release of her debut single, “No Sweat”, Laine continues to develop as a singer and songwriter and is showing all signs of being a Music City mainstay.  Fans can also be on the lookout for the upcoming release of her first Christmas song.  “South Pole” will be due out later this year.
