LADY A - Love You Back - BMLG

Beautiful harmonies, thought-provoking lyrics, and smooth, swaying melodies introduce country music fans to the creative new chapter for multi-platinum trio Lady A.  Their brand-new tune, “Love You Back,” is available digitally and on all streaming platforms now.

Written by James McNair, Lindsay Rhimes, and Emily Weisband, the song was first shared with fans during CMA Fest in June and through social media, as well as on their current Request Line Tour.

Simply put, “Love You Back” is a nostalgic tale of heartbreak, and how the ups and downs and turns along the way of emotional recovery following a breakup can take your thoughts and feelings in many different directions.  A memory of a previous partner of a past relationship can be comforting for us at times, but it can also prevent us from moving on recovering emotionally.

The relatable track is told through a mid-tempo, modernly-catchy melody and Lady A’s beautifully eloquent harmonies.  Lyrically, the tune is a poetic account of the internal turmoil we feel when we miss what we had and long to feel those emotions again with someone new.

“All it’s gonna do is make you lose sleep at night

Wake up and leave you in the past

You can love a memory, but a memory

Can’t love you back”

This song promises to be yet another success story for Lady A, and the response from fans on the road further encouraged the group to officially release it as a single.

“Heartbreak is something almost everyone has experienced and this song describes that experience in a whole new way,” the band shared.  “We’ve loved seeing how fans react to the song and to now share the official version with everyone is really special!”

Widely recognized as one of the more accomplished groups during their decade-plus career, Lady A has tallied 10 No. 1 hit singles while accumulating over 17 million album units and 34 million tracks sold along with nearly 5 billion digital streams.  Having amassed countless awards including seven GRAMMY Awards, Billboard Music Awards, People’s Choice Awards, Tenn Choice Awards, as well as ACM and CMA Awards, they have solidified themselves as one of most successful bands of their generation.

The award-winning trio is currently on the road, playing sold-out venues across the country on their Request Line Tour.  Featuring opening support from Dave Barnes, the trek has a handful of stops between now and the end of October.  Lady A will be a part of Opry Country Christmas, scheduled for December 11th in Nashville.
