CODY COZZ - I Could Get Used To This - Grindstone Records

Nashville-based country artist and Pueblo, CO native Cody Cozz’s latest release, “I Could Get Used To This,” is a modern-day love sonnet to that special person in each of our lives.  Directly and literally, this is a beautiful love song from a man to a woman, one to which we can all relate, and the words are presented with a sense of revelation that captivates the listener with the passion and emotion behind each line.

Lyrically, this is a beautifully-penned tune sung effortlessly and magnificently through Cody’s powerful vocal bravado.  This is an ode to a woman who has come into his life and changed his world, and the irrevocable message of this song is his irresistible love and appreciation for her.

Written by Craig Campbell, Jason Mathews, and Ben Hayslip, “I Could Get Used To This” has a traditional country baseline with a touch of bluesy elements, bearing some resemblance to James Otto’s “Just Got Started Lovin’ You”.  This is a catchy, head-bobbing tune, something that is not always the characteristic of a love song.  But this track is crafted with the upbeat personality that appeals to the masses while also enabling the potential for vocal showcasing, and Cody is more than up for that challenge.  His raw vocal ability and delivery are not to be overlooked, and we have seen his prowess, confidence and willingness to extend himself beyond his comfort zone improve with every release.

Following earlier 2023 releases “I’m Just A Country Song” and “I Wanna Be That Guy” under Campbell’s Grindstone Records label, Cozz continues to garner praise for his upbeat, catchy hooks infused with blues, rock, and traditional country elements alongside his raw, aggressively powerful vocal delivery.  “I Could Get Used To This” is the latest installment in a series of impressive releases from the young singer-songwriter, who continues to escalate up the ranks of country music’s future stars.
