Rock Ridge Music and TCM Class of 2022 artist Erin Gibney has released her latest single.  “Talk Me Out of Him” is available now digitally and on all streaming platforms.

The Southington, CT native is right at home and in her comfort zone with this new tune, harmonizing her way through clever wordplay alongside an irresistibly catchy melody.  This is a country pop anthem to its core, hitting all the right feels for a night out on the town with friends. 

And while on the surface, the song is a fun, toe-tapping sing-along party-inducing number, there is an important underlying message about the value of friendship.

“When you start to have feelings for someone that you know isn’t right for you, it can be scary and difficult to detach yourself from them”, Erin shared.  “I know for me and my friends, we always turn to each other for advice and support in times like those.  It’s about the people in your life that you can look at and say, ‘This isn’t right and I need your help.’”

Co-written with Kirsti Manna and Bill DLuigi, “Talk Me Out Of Him” is the latest example of the musical sophistication, maturity, and artistic embodiment that Gibney has continued to develop in her short time since moving to Music City.  Honing her craft as a young singer-songwriter and making the move to Nashville in 2017, she has put together a high-quality catalogue worthy of renowned recognition.  Reminiscent of the material from some of the most successful crossover artists in the genre today, this tune is a power ballad that will appeal to a wide variety of fans of country music through its subject matter and melodies.

And, of course, the key element of a country song is its ability to apply to real life.  “Talk Me Out Of Him” could be a diary entry from millions of listeners across the country, who have fallen into a relationship that should have never happened and all we can do is lean on those we love and trust to help us recover and escape our own false illusions, vulnerabilities, and mistakes.  For such a young artist to craft a tune that can apply and appeal to so many people from so many disciplines in so many situations is proof of the undeniable talent this songstress possesses.  This is only the beginning for this bright young starlet…who is on the cusp of becoming a household name in country music.

“Talk Me Out Of Him” follows Erin’s latest single, “Exit Signs”, which featured Kris Allen, as well as previous singles “Naïve” and “Easy Like That”.  In addition to continuously releasing new music, she has been on tour for the past year as the opening act on Sister Hazel’s nationwide tour, impressing audiences across the country.
