The latest single from Sydney Hansen, “Somebody’s Nobody”, finds the singer-songwriter right in her wheelhouse, belting out rock-influenced country music with a sass and confidence all her own.

The Duluth, MN native has been working with famed Nashville producer Kent Wells, most notable for his extensive work for decades with icon Dolly Parton, as well as Reba, Billy Ray Cyrus, and more.

At just 18 years of age, Hansen is well beyond her years when it comes to songwriting, performing, and singing.  But more than that, she has found our own niche in the country music realm.

Sydney is a country artist heavily influenced by southern rock, and that is evident on “Somebody’s Nobody” from the first guitar riff.  The tune is catchy by edgy, and from the very first note the tension and energy slowly builds until it is ready to explode into the opening chorus.  Her vocals are strong and confident but remain subdued at the right moments, all cultivating to the most climactic parts of the song, adding to the overall emotional impact of the entire listening experience.

Having performed during Nashville’s Country Radio Seminar this week, Hansen continues to make a name for herself as an under-the-radar, one-to-watch in the industry.  Stay tuned for many more memorable tunes from this crazy talented, 18-year-old songstress in the near future.
