The latest release from Arista Nashville recording artist Ryan Hurd’s debut album, Pelago, which dropped in October 2021, “Pass It On” is an optimistic tune about encouraging good will and how each one of us can contribute to the greater good to make the world a better place.  It’s upbeat, it’s light and energetic, and its infectiously simple melody will have the listener toe-tapping and singing along.

The track was written by Hurd along with Michael Hardy and Jordan Schmidt, as well as Hurd’s wife, pop country star Maren Morris.  The couple have written songs often over the years, and routinely appear on each other’s recordings.  From the melody to the lyrics, this song is about feeling the contentment of one’s life, no matter how large or small, and the act of passing that along to others.

If you keep it all to yourself

While Hurd’s debut album, Pelago, is his full-length introduction to country music fans, he is certainly no stranger to the industry, having penned tunes for the likes of Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley, and Lady A. Pelago follows his 2020 EOM EP, which featured his hugely successful duet with Morris, ‘Chasing After You”.

Hurd is on the road through the spring on a headlining tour across the country before sharing the stage with other country music stars at some of the largest festivals in the nation this summer.
