Tenille Townes continues to make waves in country music, both in her native Canada as well as in the U.S., with the release of her most recent effort, “When’s It Gonna Happen”.  The release was a response to an outpouring of fan support who labored for the song to be pushed, with its relatable subject matter and emotionally honest lyrics:

“I wrote this song because it’s a real and true window into my life right now and how I feel sometimes about being single”, Townes says.  “I know that if it’s something I’m feeling, then there must be others who feel the same way I do.  I wanted to create something that would speak to them too!”

While the song may be a look into Tenille’s thoughts and feelings, it hits home with the listeners as well.  After all, who hasn’t had a broken heart or has longed for love or a relationship?

“Sometimes I feel like I’m the last one standin’

I look around and all my friends are fallin’ in love

I’m scored to death I’ll end up empty handed

Can’t be the only one”

Embedded in the pop-country sound that fans have become to expect and love about Townes’ releases, the song’s vibe and lyrics offer the vulnerability and relatability that the subject matter deserves.  It’s a song that the fans asked for, and once again, Tenille has delivered.

Her debut album, ‘The Lemonade Stand’, was subject to critical acclaim upon its release, featuring the standout tracks “White Horse”, “Jersey On The Wall (I’m Just Asking)”, “The Most Beautiful Things”, and “Come As You Are”.  Having toured throughout the summer and fall of 2021 with Brothers Osborne, she will be headlining her own U.S. tour this year along with dates supporting two of the biggest in the genre, Reba and George Strait.
