Fast-rising singer-songwriter MacKenzie Porter has released the heart-warming “Heaven Heard Me” to radio.  The track, penned by Porter along with Steven Lee Olsen and David Cohen, was written for her husband, Jake Etheridge.  The couple got married during the pandemic, and this track is a reflection of the love the two newlyweds share through one of the more trying times in recent memory.

The song is undeniably heart-warming, personal, and intimate.  Many listeners will relate directly to the lyrics, as they are taken from real life, not from scratch in a songwriting session.  Further, MacKenzie’s ability to emotionally connect through the vocal delivery will make this one a song to remember.

“I think Heaven heard me

Halleluja, here you are

Boy, I prayed and now you’re in my arms

Every word He

Took into consideration

‘Cause you’re perfect in every way

Boy, lookin’ at you, how can I not believe

I think Heaven heard me”

The track serves as a follow up to “Unlonely Me”, marking her second release of 2021.

Porter was named to CMT’s Next Women of Country Class of 2021 and is currently on the road with Jordan Davis on his BUY DIRT TOUR.  Her prior track with Dustin Lynch, “Thinking ‘Bout You”, is steading climbing the country radio charts, looking to break the Top 10.
