WALKER MONTGOMERY - "24/7 365" - Red Street Records

Walker Montgomery doesn't need much convincing to make Friday feel like an event. On “24/7 365,” he turns the end of the workweek into a full-throttle country celebration, complete with a fired-up truck, a honky-tonk destination and just enough anticipation to make the clock seem slower than usual. Released September 25, 2026, through Red Street Records, the upbeat track embraces the simple pleasures of cutting loose after a long week and reminds listeners why a great country song can make an ordinary weekend feel like an occasion worth celebrating.

Written by Bart Butler, Brice Long and Jon Pardi, “24/7 365” has the instincts of a classic honky-tonk number without sounding trapped in another era. A fiery fiddle and pounding beat provide the foundation, while Montgomery's confident vocal keeps the performance grounded in country tradition. There is plenty of energy here, but the production never loses sight of the instruments and melodies that give the genre its character.

The song's appeal comes partly from how effectively it turns ordinary details into anticipation. The workday is treated almost like an obstacle course: the sun comes up, the boots go on, the clock starts ticking and Montgomery's narrator gets through the obligations standing between him and freedom. Then the entire mood changes. The truck becomes the getaway vehicle, the radio gets turned up and the weekend suddenly feels close enough to touch.

That transition gives the song its momentum. Montgomery isn't singing about an elaborate escape or some impossible fantasy. He's celebrating the everyday pleasures that have made country music so durable in the first place: a truck, a cooler, good friends, a cold drink, a dance floor and a night with nowhere else to be. The details are straightforward, but the performance gives them lift.

The track also plays naturally to Montgomery's identity as a young artist with a deep connection to traditional country. As the son of John Michael Montgomery, he grew up surrounded by the music that continues to influence his sound, but “24/7 365” doesn't feel like an attempt to recreate his father's career. Instead, Montgomery translates those traditional-country instincts into a contemporary setting, delivering an energetic performance that retains the twang and fiddle-driven character of classic honky-tonk music while fitting comfortably into today's country landscape.

That connection to tradition has already become part of Montgomery's musical story. His rendition of his father's “I Love the Way You Love Me” has generated more than 45 million TikTok views, while his independent catalog has surpassed 93 million global streams. After signing with Red Street Records in 2026, he released “Saving The Honky Tonks,” a self-penned song that launched his first national headline tour. “24/7 365” builds naturally on that trajectory, sounding like another confident step toward defining Montgomery's own version of new traditional country.

There is an appealing lack of complication to the song's central philosophy. The workweek ends, the friends get called, the truck heads toward the honky-tonk and the night is waiting. The chorus turns that impulse into a broader declaration of staying young, wild and free, giving Montgomery a hook that feels tailor-made for a crowd already halfway out of their seats.

At its best, “24/7 365” understands that a great country party song doesn't need an elaborate premise. It needs a memorable melody, a strong rhythm and a feeling listeners recognize immediately. Montgomery delivers all three. With its fiddle-led drive, traditional backbone and unmistakably upbeat spirit, “24/7 365” doesn't ask listeners to overthink the weekend. It simply opens the truck door, turns up the radio and reminds them why getting there has always been half the fun.
