LOCASH - "Where My Stars Line Up" - Galaxy Label Group/BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville

LOCASH turns a road map into a love letter on “Where My Stars Line Up,” a romantic new single that finds magic in the places two people experience together. California wine country, a Tennessee truck bed, an Alabama backroad and a New York rooftop all become pieces of the same story, but the song's real destination is the person beside you. Wherever the road leads, the setting becomes secondary when the right kind of love is along for the ride.

Released September 25, 2026, through the duo's own Galaxy Label Group, “Where My Stars Line Up” opens a new chapter for Preston Brust and Chris Lucas following their five-song EP, “Let The Country Music Play.” Written by Brust, Lucas, Taylor Phillips and Jeffery East and produced by Jacob Rice, the song takes LOCASH somewhere slightly different sonically. Rather than chasing the sun-soaked exuberance associated with their recent summer material, the duo settles into a more spacious, atmospheric sound that gives the romance room to breathe.

That change in pace is immediately noticeable. Shimmering guitar textures, a steady rhythmic pulse and layered harmonies create a sense of open space around the vocals. There is a cinematic quality to the production, but it never becomes so grand that the song loses its country identity. Rice's arrangement gives the track enough polish for contemporary playlists while preserving the warmth and accessibility that have been central to LOCASH's appeal.

The songwriting is where the concept really comes alive. Instead of building the romance around one elaborate setting, “Where My Stars Line Up” keeps moving, hopping from one corner of the country to another. California, Tennessee, Alabama and New York become stops on a romantic road trip, but the destination is ultimately beside the person at the center of the song. The specific details make the story easy to picture while the larger sentiment remains broad enough for listeners to recognize something of their own experiences in it.

That approach also plays to LOCASH's strengths as storytellers. Brust and Lucas have built their career around finding the extraordinary inside familiar experiences, and this one takes a particularly optimistic view of that idea. The narrator isn't searching for a perfect destination. He's already found what makes the destination worthwhile.

The chorus provides the song's emotional lift, transforming that simple premise into something more expansive. The idea that the stars finally align because of another person gives the track a touch of wonder without making the sentiment feel overly complicated. LOCASH delivers it with full-bodied harmonies that make the hook feel designed for both a late-night drive and a crowd singing along under a summer sky.

What makes “Where My Stars Line Up” especially appealing is its willingness to let LOCASH be romantic without sacrificing their personality. The song isn't trying to manufacture drama or a grand declaration. Instead, it finds its charm in the idea that love can change the way ordinary places look and feel.

Following the upbeat energy of “Let The Country Music Play,” the single demonstrates another side of the duo without abandoning the sound that brought them here. The release also continues the creative direction of Galaxy Label Group, the independent imprint LOCASH launched as part of their effort to maintain greater control over their music.

“Where My Stars Line Up” ultimately turns a familiar country idea into something expansive without losing its intimacy. LOCASH understands that the most convincing love songs don't need an extraordinary setting; they need a believable reason to believe the person beside you is the real destination. With its glowing production, easygoing momentum and heartfelt harmonies, this one makes that sentiment feel completely at home.
