KIP MOORE - "Faith In The Wind" - Virgin Music Group

With a little more than a month until the release of his brand-new record, Kip Moore is offering another new tune for fans.  “Faith In The Wind” is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via Virgin Music Group.

Written by Moore along with Andre DeRoberts and Luke Preston, the tune reflects on a life lived freely in a structured world, while also capturing the central theme of the forthcoming record.

“When you live unconventionally, sometimes you question it,” Moore said.  “’Faith in the Wind’ is trusting I’m where I’m supposed to be”.

“Faith in the Wind” is exactly what you’d expect from Moore – in the best possible way.  Continuing his long-running themes of wandering and searching for something greater, he reflects on a life spent facing the world alone, admitting he always wanted to walk a tightrope but now feels stuck, unable to climb down.

“I used to want to walk on a tight rope

But now I’m up and I can’t get down

I hear there’s gold at the end of the rainbow

I guess I’ll know when I find out

In the chorus, which feels quintessentially Kip, he finds a sense of peace.  Like many of his songs, he concedes that he may not know where he’s headed, but takes comfort in trusting that the “wind” will carry him where he’s meant to go.

I don’t know where I’m goin’

I don’t know where I’ve been

As long as these tired wings can hold me

You know me

I’m gonna have faith in the wind”

The new track serves as the second single off Moore’s forthcoming record, ‘Reason To Believe’, set for a May 29th release.  Produced by Moore along with DeRoberts, his seventh studio album will also feature the lead single, “Levee”, which was released on March 6th.

“I felt like I was describing more of who I am as a human,” Kip said.  “This album is my daily thoughts.  In here.  It’s an ‘in here’ kind of thing.”

Moore will support the album on the road this year with the ‘Reason To Believe’ World Tour, headlining dates across Australia, New Zealand, Europe, the U.S., and the UK.  He’ll also return to South Africa, where he’s helped expand the reach of country music, previously performing for crowds exceeding 40,000 fans.
