Dillon Carmichael has released a brand new track, “Pickin’ Up Girls”, with much more new music on the way soon.  The track features The Cadillac Three, as is evident by the heavy guitar riffs and upbeat tempo that has made them a bit of a household name.

Carmichael, a Kentucky native, bares his true colors on growing up with nothing to do…or as he says, when “you’re small town bored”.  It’s without a doubt, a head banger, a dance number, and a sing-along chiller, all rolled into one.

“Pickin’ up girls in a hand-me-down Ford

It’s what you do when you’re small town bored

Just like my daddy and his daddy before

Damn, she likes to hear that thing roar”

Produced by Jon Pardi and Ryan Gore, “Pickin’ Up Girls” was co-written by Carmichael along with Jaren Johnston and James McNair.

The track is part of Dillon’s sophomore album, Son of A, set for release on October 22.  The 14-track set is a star-studded project also featuring co-writers The Warren Brothers, Rhett Akins, Luke Laird, Bobby Pinson, and David Lee Murphy.

In support of the new release, Carmichael will be out on the road this fall with stops in Alabama and Kentucky all the way through to the northeast.
