JORDAN DAVIS - Learn The Hard Way - MCA Records Nashville
Multi-platinum, award-winning start Jordan Davis has announced that his highly-anticipated new album, ‘Learn The Hard Way’, is due out everywhere on August 15th. Additionally, the Shreveport, LA native has released the record’s title track, which is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via MCA Records Nashville.
Infectiously oozing with raw emotion and honesty along with Jordan’s signature vocal delivery, the new tune depicts what heartbreak looks like from the person left behind in the wake of a breakup. Per usual, the lyrics are sophisticatedly thought-provoking and clever, while the trademark sound of a Davis tune provide the perfect backdrop for the slow-to-mid-tempo rhythm and melody.
“I’m ‘bout to get a taste of my own damn medicine
Safe to say I’m ‘bout to get me a lesson in
Tables turnin’ like tires on the Chert rock
And how them goodbye lights look fadin’ off
Throwin’ red at the best there’s ever been
Hell, I guess there’s a first time for everything
I’ve never known the broke side of a heartbreak
But I’d say I’m ‘bout to learn the hard way”
Serving as already his third-release of the year, “Learn The Hard Way” follows “I Ain’t Sayin’”, “Know You Like That, “In Case You Missed It”, and “Bar None”, all of which will be included on his upcoming album.
The ACM and CMA award-winning artist’s single “I Ain’t Sayin’” reached No. 1 on US Country Radio after being the most added on add week and also secured eight weeks at No. 1 on the UK Country Radio Airplay Chart, making the single the most weeks at No. 1 on UK Radio Charts in 2024. “I Ain’t Sayin’” is one of the five released songs from ‘Learn The Hard Way’.
The forthcoming record joins Davis’ Platinum-selling debut album, ‘Home State’, and is the follow up to his Platinum-selling album ‘Bluebird Days’, which produced four consecutive No. 1 singles (“What My World Spins Around,” “Tucson Too Late,” “Buy Dirt” and “Next Thing You Know”) and two Song of the Year award-winning hits “Next Thing You Know” (ACM) and “Buy Dirt” (CMA and NSAI) off of one album - the first artist in history to ever accomplish that feat.
Starting 2025 off internationally, Davis served as direct support for Luke Combs’ stadium tour in New Zealand and Australia. Additionally, Davis was direct support for Luke on his 2024 “Growin’ Up and Getting Old Tour” and followed with his string of U.S. and international shows headlining his “Damn Good Time Tour” in the fall of 2024. Jordan has a busy spring and summer forthcoming, with dates scheduled beginning in May across the country before embarking on his “Ain’t Enough Road Tour” beginning in September.
