BLAKE SHELTON - Stay Country Or Die Tryin' - BBR Music Group

Country music superstar Blake Shelton continues to entice us as the countdown continues to the release of his highly-anticipated new album.  And with less than a month until the record drops everywhere, Blake has offered perhaps its final preview, which is a track that pays homage to some his biggest hits from yesteryear.  “Stay Country Or Die Tryin’” is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via Broken Bow Records.

Written by Drew Parker, Graham Barham, Sam Ellis and Beau Bailey, the electrifying new track is an ode to the way of life in the country, an ode to traditional morals, values, and beliefs, while musically baring resemblances to some of Shelton’s biggest hits that have made him a household name in country music over the years.

“When I heard ‘Stay Country or Die Tryin,’ it took me back to the first time I heard ‘Ol’ Red’ or ‘God’s Country,’” Shelton said.  It’s got so much energy and is full of those little catchphrases and things we say out in the country.  I absolutely fell in love with it.  I’m proud of this record – and I love singing it even more.”

This is a Blake Shelton song to its core, with an outlaw vibe with traditional ebbs and flows alongside splashes of modern elements, collectively supporting the unapologetically-honest lyrics crooned through his trademark vocal twang.

“From the red, white and blue flyin’ high at the farm

To the Boone and Crockett stud on the wall in the barn

Where the magnolias bloom, there’s a lab on the lawn

Where you buddy and your boat both got the name John

In God, we trust

Detroit, we rust

Redneck letter testifyin’

From the born we cut

Till the day that I’m dust

I’ma stay country or die tryin’”

Serving as the third release off the forthcoming album, “Stay Country Or Die Tryin’” follows the hit single, “Texas”, which has soared into the Top 10 and continues to climb both radio and streaming charts, as well as “Let Him In Anyway”.

‘For Recreational Use Only’, his brand-new record scheduled for a May 9th release, is a 12-track collection and his first album in nearly four years.  Capturing life’s highs and lows with Shelton’s signature blend of authentic storytelling, raw emotion, and unforgettable melodies, the record features guest appearances from music superstar Gwen Stefani, country legend John Anderson, and Blake’s longtime friend and tourmate, Craig Morgan.

With 29 No. 1 singles, 52 million singles and 13 million albums sold and nearly 11 billion global streams, Blake Shelton has received numerous awards, including six ACMs, three AMAs, ten CMAs, 11 CMTs and six People’s Choice, among many others.

Shelton kickstarted the year with his Live In Las Vegas Residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. He just wrapped his Friends & Heroes Tour, which featured Morgan, Deana Carter, Trace Adkins and Emily Ann Roberts, and will play a variety of festivals this summer.
