RYAN AND RORY - What's Mine Is Yours - BBR Music Group
Ryan and Rory have quickly made their mark on the country music landscape since impacting with “Pour Decisions,” earning several accolades which includes being named a “Highway Find,” hailed as one of Nashville’s hottest rising duos, and making their Grand Ole Opry debut.
Expertly introducing every distinct facet of who they are with each next song, the duo intrigues with their rich harmonies, infectious melodies, clever lyrics, and unmatched ability to find a remarkable balance between rowdier tinged anthems (“Truck Stop”) and make you think depth (“Heaven’s Got A Country Station”).
They now continue to hype the excitement that swirls all around them by tapping into their heartwarming, romantic side on their latest track, “What’s Mine Is Yours.”
“What’s Mine is Yours” is about giving yourself completely to another person,” says Ryan Follese. “I think it takes just the right person to make two lives one.”
“It’s also about how the simple things can say so much about a great relationship,” adds Rory John Zak. “Like when she borrows a t-shirt and I never get it back."
Co-written by Ryan and Rory, Trannie Anderson, and Kevin Bard, the glide of the catchy melody traces a simple checklist of what matches with what throughout each of the verses; “Cold beer is the bar’s,” “Church bells are the chapel’s,” “Sundays are the Lord’s, and although “Any Man Of Mine” belongs to Shania, his girl sings it like she owns it.
With the outline having now been precisely drawn all around it, the heartfelt depth of the song gets drenched in their unmistakable harmonies as they pull into the chorus, offering the most important thoughts of what, or better yet, who matches with what.
“What’s mine is yours
All my midnights wrapped in cotton
Black coffee porch mornings
Yeah baby from the bottom of my heart
To the top of my dresser drawer
All your love is mine and girl what’s mine is yours
All your love is mine and girl what’s mine is yours”
Ryan and Rory masterfully put on a showcase of why they are being hailed as the next big duo in country music with each new song they release. “What’s Mine Is Yours” follows the natural progression of two songwriters are who clearly focused on what they want to do with their music while igniting an irresistible addictiveness that pulls you in and a heartfelt connection that keeps the couples swooning for each other.
