RYAN AND RORY - Truck Stop - BBR Music Group

Fast-rising country duo and soon-to-be household name Ryan And Rory have released their first new song of the year, one that is sure to have listeners turning up radio all spring and summer.  “Truck Stop” is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via BBR Music Group.

Consisting of 2X platinum #1 songwriter Ryan Follese and Raleigh, NC multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter Rory John Zak, Ryan and Rory are offering a glimpse into what we may be able to expect from the duo, who released their self-titled debut EP in July 2024.

Written by Follese along with Emily Reid and producer Kevin Bard, this is a hard-hitting, in-your-face modern country rock track that will have listeners bobbing their heads and stomping their feet from start to finish.

“’Truck Stop’ was so fun to write,” Ryan said.  “But it’s even more fun to play out live.  It’s got such a great groove.”

“Lyrically, it’s a spicy twister…’cause if you think it’s about stopping for gas off the interstate, think again!”, Rory said.

The fun, energetic personalities of its members explode through the speakers from the song’s onset, instantly infusing the listener with an up-tempo, barn-burning good time.  The sing-along lyrics are quick, clever, and delivered through strong, controlled vocals that will instill in the mind of the listener and leave a lasting impression.

“Make a little truck stop

Hotter than the blacktop

Baby hit the brakes and drop the tailgate down

Gonna be long night burnin’ up them taillights

That’s the kinda stuff that I’m talkin’ about

What’s a 4x4 even matter anymore

When the whole town’s a parking lot

Let’s make a little truck stop”

Serving as their first release of 2025, “Truck Stop” follows “Heaven’s Got A Country Station” as well as the duo’s debut track, “Pour Decisions” from 2024.  Released last summer, their debut EP featured the strengths of both of its members, including Ryan’s songwriting (on all six tracks) and Rory’s instrumental and vocally harmonic talents.  These two artists are seasoned veterans as both songwriters as well as the touring circuit, and combining their talents and passion has put the country music world on notice and has us excited to hear more.

Having made their Grand Ole Opry debut on December 7, 2024, Ryan and Rory finished capped an incredible year that saw them tour with the likes of Sam Hunt and Jamey Johnson, setting up for an even-more incredible 2025.  Along with the release of a new track (and more promised in the coming months), the duo will hit the road with Brett Young this spring after just having wrapped dates with Tyler Braden.
