Multiple-platinum country star Russell Dickerson is back with a brand-new tune, one that has already generated millions of views across his social media platforms.  “Happen To Me” is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via Triple Tigers.

Written by Dickerson along with Chase McGill, Jessie Jo Dillon, and Chris LaCorte, this is a track that is undeniably Russell Dickerson to its core.  From start to finish, it’s blend of pop and modern country elements set the stage for a musical experience headlined by catchy rhythms and quick, clever lyrics that tell the tale of a fun, crazy night on the town while trying to forget one’s relationship troubles.

“’Happen To Me’ is all about dancing through heartbreak,” Dickerson said.  “When we first started writing, I thought, ‘What’s a song that makes every girl want to get up and dance when it plays?’ So we kicked off the chorus with ‘Girls just want to have fun,’ and kept building from there.”

The story follows a connection between two people where the past doesn’t matter; it’s all about enjoying the moment.  With its sing-along chorus and playful tone, the song is a sure-to-be fan favorite and one of the stand-out anthems as we head into the spring across the country.  Add a reference while capturing the spirt of “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper, and this is a feel-good musical escape for the need-to-party night-capper in all of us.

The release of “Happen To Me” comes as his current single, “Bones”, continues to thrive in the Top 40 at country radio.  Since releasing his debut album, ‘Yours’, in 2017, Dickerson has been a mainstay in the country music mainstream with his incredibly catchy pop-country tunes and incredibly energetic live shows. 

The Tennessee-native started his career with four consecutive singles that reached No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, and has since earned platinum or better status on standout singles including “Yours” (3X) and “Blue Tacoma” (2X), as well as “Every Little Thing”, “Love You Liked I Used To” and “She Likes It”.
