  KARISSA ELLA - Heartbreaker - 117 Music

Though it’s been since 2023’s It’s Personal that we last heard from Karissa Ella, featured songs such as the rebel-rousing “Well Tequila” and the tender-hearted “White Dress Worthy” cemented her status as one of the most prominent risers on the country music scene while buzzing anticipation for what comes next.

She now delivers her newest single “Heartbreaker,” opening her dynamic next chapter with a song that will no doubt move her status level from an artist on the rise to a glowing definition of one who has arrived.

“This song is a reminder that sometimes a goodbye isn’t the end-it’s the beginning of becoming yourself again. I hope this song inspires listeners to love themselves enough to walk away from what no longer serves them,” said Karissa Ella.

With a flawless bending of modern essence and throwback flare, the song written by Kasey Tyndall, Jeb Gipson, and Chase Bryant instantly recalls the era when the radio charts were anchored by names such as LeAnn Rimes, Faith Hill, and Shania Twain.

A melodic moodiness pulsates underneath her voice throughout each of the verses, allowing Karissa’s irresistible twang to brandish personality into the ebbs and flows of the lower registered notes that slide into end line trails, soaring a showcase of her range, control, and unbridled power as she sings through the map dot details of finally finding the strength to walk away.

Guiding a fist-pumping chorus that craftily matches its instrumentation to the fueled punch of each lyrical line, the overall vibe exudes the freedom found in the exhilaration of taking back your life.

“She let her heartbreak her

Threw her finger to the wind and let them blue skies take her

Didn't have to think twice, this time

Let a goodbye make her feel like herself again

He don’t deserve the credit it damn sure wasn't him

She let her heart break her”

Budding emotions flow with each passing mile throughout the second half of the song as the central character brushes blooming confidence into re-finding herself and who she is, locking her eyes forward on the future rather than looking back on what used to be.

Where so many songs right now from the young female demographic are focused on pointing the finger at the one who did them wrong, Karissa Ella has very intriguingly used leaving as an inward confession of healing, connecting boldly with the listener in a statement that says it’s okay to take care of yourself.
