HAILEY WHITTERS - Casseroles - Pigasus/Songs & Daughters/Big Loud
GRAMMY-nominated, Platinum-selling singer/songwriter Hailey Whitters has released her first single since 2023, setting the stage to take her career to the next level in 2025. “Casseroles” is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via Pigasus Records / Big Loud Records / Songs & Daughters.
Written by Whitters' close collaborators Hillary Lindsey, Tom Douglas and James Slater, the moving song threads the needle between the raw grief of a tragic loss and the hope that can follow.
“I was sent this record from three of my favorite collaborators who've written many songs that have defined the foundation of my appreciation for modern country music,” Whitters shared. “During my first listen, I was absolutely floored. As heavy and somber as the lyric and melody is, I also think there's hope in the message and pray that it lands between ears that need to hear it.”
Perfectly articulating the transition from grief to hope, the song’s lyrical content flows harmoniously and consistently alongside the musical arrangement to set the vibe and tone for listeners in all stages of loss, anguish, and reflection. Hailey’s mellow, soft, yet powerfully confident vocal delivery takes the emotional impact of the song to another level, providing a preview of perhaps what is to come from this talented singer-songwriter on a forthcoming project.
“And those ol' six strings keep strumming
And those wild winged hummingbirds keep humming
I don't know how but this world keeps on turning
And love keeps on loving
After the casseroles stop coming”
“Casseroles” marks Whitters' first single release since her critically-acclaimed 2023 EP ‘I'm In Love’. That same year, Whitters was nominated for New Artist of the Year at the CMA Awards and took home the ACM Award for New Female Artist of the Year, performing her Platinum certified hit “Everything She Ain't” during the show. The song marked her debut on the Billboard Hot 100 and her first top 20 hit at country radio.
In recent months, Whitters has released collaborations with Max McNown, Evan Honer and Brooks & Dunn. In November 2024, she supported Alan Jackson on the final date of his tour in Salt Lake City, having penned his single from 2017, “The Older I Get”. In addition to appearances at several festivals already announced this summer, Hailey is gearing up for a busy year, on the stage and in the studio.
