LILY ROSE - Even After Everything - Big Loud/Back Blocks Music/Republic Records
For the droves of fans who come out to see Lily Rose in concert every night, it is an expectation that the groundbreaking country artist is sure to put on an intense, passionate, and entertaining performance that will have the venue rocking. And perhaps there is no better single representation of her live show than her latest release, a tune that a stadium-ready hook and anthemic lyrics will keep heads bobbing and toes tapping throughout. “Even After Everything” is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via Big Loud / Back Blocks Music / Republic Records.
Serving as the first release since Rose’s critically-acclaimed EP ‘Runnin’ Outa Time’ in May, “Even After Everything” is the first impression the talented songstress has been making on her fans on each night of her 23-city headlining tour.
“This song kicked off the show night after night on my headline tour, so I’ve been counting down for this song to be released,” Lily said. “It shows more of my pop/rock side and really illustrates the kind of energy we bring to the stage. Safe to say, this song is meant to be listened to at max volume.”
Co-written by Rose along with Paul DiGiovanni, Seth Ennis and Andy Albert, the heavy-hitting country rocker tells the tale of not being able to completely walk away from a relationship, no matter how toxic and detrimental it is to one’s mental well-being.
Gritty story-telling, an infectious chorus, and vulnerably-honest relatable lyrics crooned through Rose’s trademark delivery, this is a statement to the masses that showcases Lily’s undeniable talent as a singer and songwriter.
“Even after everything
We’ve done to each other
I still pick it up if I saw your number
Forget you put me through the place
You told me to go
I swear to God I can’t tell you no
Even after all the he said, she said
I don’t, you did
Truth is I still want you more than anything
Even after everything”
Lily has been revered as a gifted songwriter and singer for quite a while at this point, but her ability to put those two talents together on a stage and on a record, for some reason, has only been noticed by the wide-spread country music community recently. Her music as a whole, as well her releases individually, consistently incorporate all of the elements we have come to know, love, and expect from her and her music, from her trademark twangy delivery to craftily detailed lyrics.
In addition to her headlining trek, Rose had one of the standout performances at Nashville’s CMA Fest in June and was a special guest on the road with Luke Bryan and Cole Swindell earlier this year as well. Continuing to escalate up the ranks as one of the brightest and most promising young stars in the genre, Lily is putting an exclamation point on yet another career-changing year in 2024 with perhaps her best song released to date.
