PRESLEY TENNANT - Love You With The Lights On - Independent Release

As we roll toward the end of what has already been a tremendous year for country starlet Presley Tennant, highlighted by very strong releases “Pick Your Poison,” “Bad Decisions,” and “Somebody Like You,” she’s now peeling back an ultra-intriguing layer on her final release of the year.

“Love You With The Lights On” is available on all streaming and digital platforms.

Written by Presley, David Ray Stevens, and Brandon Hartt, the soft sultriness of the instrumental glide immediately sets a tone of vulnerability as Tennant’s whispered vocal flows the melody, travelling past surface level love to pour into the blissful, cloud nine feeling of continually falling with each next moment spent together.

“This song to me is about that one person in your life where you love everything about them,” states Presley on the romantic track. “The things they may be insecure about are your favorite parts. Where you want to see every bit of who they are and shine light on it,” says Tennant of the song.

Transparently sharing her heart with her better half during the opening verse reveals the giddiness of her absolute knowing that he’s the one, “couldn’t give anyone else my heart cause you’re the only one I want,” while she later then praises with pure appreciation and gratefulness during the second verse, “you were heaven sent.”

Allowing the feelings that have been bubbling inside of her to boil over as she approaches the chorus, she embeds touches of a flirtatious tone into the trails of her voice, turning up the heat as she entices:

“Let me love you with the lights on

Baby we could use a better view

Spin me round to a slow song

Let me see that other side of you

We’re more than just strangers dancing on the hardwood floor

No there’s nothing I want more

Then to love you with the lights on

Let me love, let me love

Let me love you with the lights on”

With natural throwback flares pulling modern edges into a 2010’s era style when steamier, sexier songs were prevalent in the Top 40, Presley Tennant delivers the type of song with “Love You With The Lights On” that immediately has you cancelling your downtown party plans to instead fall deeper into each other with an alone together night in.
