JENNA LAMASTER - Truth Is - Sheltered Music

Northern California native and rodeo cowgirl-turned-songwriter-turned-artist Jenna LaMaster has released a follow-up to her debut single, one that will continue her trajectory from the accomplished writing room to the bright lights of recording artist notoriety.  “Truth Is” is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via Sheltered Music.

Written by LaMaster along with Whitney Duncan and Lee Star, her sophomore single release is an ode to the good things in a life than can seem lost at times, shining a light on the good and hopeful in the darkness of distress and anguish that can sometimes consume us.

“I think we can all agree that there will always be fearful and confusing times in our world, and that can feel heavy, but there’s a lot of good here too,” LaMaster said.  “If you’re anything like me, you hold on to the hope and take peace in knowing how the story ends, and that’s what we wrote ‘Truth Is’ about.  I can’t wait to share this song with the world – performing it live has already been a moving experience.”

Produced by Paul Franklin and Gammy-winning Glenn Worf, the collaborators on this new track represent the same collective as her debut single, “Drunk Thoughts”, and the results are equally impressive.  Showcasing poetic, thoughtful lyrics alongside a steel-guitar driven melody, the tune sways and croons its way into the heart and mind of the listener through the first pass, while offering a sing-along mid-tempo melody and vibe articulately illustrated through LaMaster’s undeniably beautifully vocal delivery.

Not to be overlooked, once again, is LaMaster’s sophisticated songwriting.  Having her tunes cut by the likes of Ashland Craft, Kasey Tyndall, and Dylan Marlowe, among others, her reputation as a talented writer is well-established in the industry and resoundingly exemplified on this track.  Perfectly setting the tone for the song’s subject matter from start to finish, “Truth Is” is artistically-modern songwriting at its finest.

In addition to the release of “Truth Is”, Jenna is still enjoying the renowned success of her debut, “Drunk Thoughts”, while also making her debut at the Ryman auditorium, as well as hitting the road with Ian Munsick this fall.  Named as Texas Roadhouse’s Artist of the Month for November, LaMaster is set to finish out the year as one of the bright new artist faces on the country music map with momentum building to take her career even farther in 2025.
