TYLER HUBBARD - Heroes- EMI Nashville
Tyler Hubbard continues to shine amongst country music fans young and old with his undeniable ability to pen and perform fun, energetically-upbeat numbers along with tender, sentimental odes and homages to real-life instances and influences. With his latest song, the 22-time No. 1 artist is paying tribute to those around us doing extraordinary things throughout everyday life. “Heroes” is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via EMI Nashville.
“In my mind, heroes serve and put others before themselves, and I wanted to shine a light on the everyday heroes who do this without always been recognized – teachers, first responders, farmers, and anybody who takes the time to lend a hand to someone in need,” Hubbard said. “It’s all about people helping people. I hope when people hear this song, they reflect on the everyday heroes in their own life and are reminded that everyone can be a hero for somebody. It’s a small way to say thanks and give these real-life heroes the recognition they deserve.”
Co-written by Hubbard along with Jordan Schmidt and Chase McGill, the song encompasses all of the elements we have come to know and love from the Platinum-certified hitmaker over the years. His trademark vocal delivery and approach is showcased alongside the mid-tempo, musically-subdued melody that beautifully provides undivided focus on the honest, down-to-earth lyrics that pay homage to those heroes we live with and amongst that we often take for granted. It’s a deserving tribute to those who unrequitedly do astonishingly unselfish things every day to make the lives of those around us better, often without recognition.
“Between the single moms who work two jobs
To feed the kids and pay the rent
The farmers who still turn a crop
When all the rain decides to quit
The ones that risk their lives and don’t think twice to lay it down
There’s some real-life heroes in this town”
Because of its thoughtful melody and thought-provoking, emotionally-driven lyrics, the song has been a focus of Hubbard’s performances lately at some noteworthy events aimed at honoring those real-life heroes. Merely weeks after being written, the song was first performed at a benefit for the victims and teachers of the devastating Covenant school shooting in Nashville, Hubbard recently sung the tune this past Sunday at the 23rd Annual Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk to honor the firefighters, police officers, court officers and civilians who list their live in the 9/11 attacks.
“Heroes” follows the multi-Platinum artist’s current radio single, “Park”, which he performed for the 2024 ACM Honors broadcast. Hubbard is currently on the road headlining his Strong World Tour, which will wrap on November 21st.
