TUCKER WETMORE - Silverado Blue - UMG Nashville/Back Blocks Music

As the fourth quarter of the year draws near, Tucker Wetmore is set to take things to the next level.  With his debut EP set for release in a couple of weeks, along with the launch of his first headlining tour, the Kalama, WA native is releasing a taste of new music for fans.  “Silverado Blue” is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via Back Blocks Music / UMG Nashville.

Written by Tucker along with Brett Sheroky and Dan Wilson, this laid-back, emotionally-nostalgic track is an ode to young love and the memories that resonate in our minds and hearts as we look back on what could have been and what was gone too soon.

Serving as a breath of fresh air in contrast to a lot of the parody and oversaturated pop and rock influences that circulates the country music industry, “Silverado Blue” is a cleverly-crafted tune that addresses the internal conflict one feels in the final night of a relationship before everything he knows is going to change and, conversely, looking back with a matured perspective thoughts, emotions, and realizations.

As we have heard in the past and is undeniably evident, Wetmore’s vocals are captivatingly passionate and direct with his unapologetically-traditional approach to country crooning.  Lyrically, the tune is a poetic, metaphoric embodiment of young love and the appreciation we have for those strong sentiments and emotions from the past, present and future.  The story-telling nature puts the listener right in the truck with Tucker as he recalls an unforgettable final night together with someone very special to his heart.

“You in the shotgun dashboard drummin’

Freedom in the wind them Michelins hummin’

Forever on our lips even though it wasn’t true

We put some moonlight miles and memories in it

It might still shine but who am I kiddin’

Lookin’ over there and not seein’ you

Is gonna turn this red Silverado blue”

The release of his “Silverado Blue” comes during a career-altering stretch for Wetmore, who recently debuted at the Grand Ole Opry.  He made a name for himself as a talented singer-songwriter on a meteoric rise with RIAA Gold hits “Wine Into Whiskey” and “Wind Up Missin’ You”, and now he is set to make his star even brighter as he unleashes his debut project.  ‘Waves On A Sunset’ will be released on October 4th, which will showcase a new side of Tucker to even his most avid and devout fans and followers.

“In a lot of ways, this feels like my introduction to the world, so I wanted to share some sides of me y’all haven’t seen yet,” Wetmore said.

Tucker’s Waves On A Sunset Tour kicks off on October 4th in Statesboro, GA, hitting 16 markets through the fall, wrapping on November 16th in Chicago, IL.
