LOCASH - Buzzin' - Galaxy Label Group

Widely recognized by the modern country faithful for their smash hits “I Love This Life,” “One Big Country Song,” and “I Know Somebody,” innovative, PLATINUM-selling duo LOCASH is showing absolutely no signs of slowing down since officially launching their Galaxy Label Group earlier this year.

Now on the heels of the success they’ve found this summer with the tenderly twisted wedding cake mix of their recent single “Hometown Home,” the duo returns to ultra-catchy vibes on their latest offering, “Buzzin’.”

Written by LOCASH’s Preston Brust and Chris Lucas with Shy Carter and Mark Trussell, the song immediately sets its addictive pace with a melody accented in an up-tempo feel-good that instantly gets the listener flowing the rhythm as they shoulder dance in the pocket of the groove.

Though certainly more than a little comfortable in the type of local dive bar setting that he describes throughout the opening verse, relaying “I love a good dive bar,” as we travel to the bounce induced melodic shift of the chorus, his go with the flow, party animal aura floats juxtaposition to the initial atmosphere to flirtatiously challenge his best girl to discover the more natural habitat he enjoys the most.

“I’ll be buzzin, buzzin’ in the country

Nothin’, noting out here but me

And you in the bed of my truck

Under that moon fallin’ in love

Chasin’ whiskey with your kisses

Cuz I can’t get enough

Of this buzzin’,, buzzin in the country”

Marking a checklist of the crowded downtown places they could go, shooting lemon Jell-o shots underneath the bright lights or getting drunk at a popular rooftop spot, he playfully smiles through the simple truth that he’d much rather prefer her kisses on some old quiet backroad where just the two of them can get lost in each other.

LOCASH has always had such a strong knack for finding the perfect balance between the party and the flirtatious from song to song, but this current era sees them expertly fusing the two sides of who they are into one cohesive unit each time out.

With anticipation now beginning to swirl heavy around the prospect of a new album, the duo is layering perfect foundations for a new chapter that clearly relies on their familiar ideals while also dipping a toe into the waters of expanding their signature sound just slightly enough so to keep interestingly fresh without losing any of the characteristics that got them here.
