  BOOMTOWN SAINTS + SAM GROW - Heart Breaks You - 8-Track Entertainment/Average Joe's Entertainment

BoomTown Saints is one of the hottest rising duos on the country music circuit today, crafting a grassroot following of diehard fans while spending 12 weeks at #1 with “Blacktop Don’t” and earning the distinction as Music Row Magazine’s “Independent Artist of the Year 2024.”

Sam Grow is one of the most consistent mainstays within the vastness of the modern era, shining an unapologetic spotlight on a versatile signature sound that balances flow of country essence, rock infused aura, and R&B flavoring.

Four years in the making, the timing is now perfect for these two groundbreaking artists to team up on an ultra-strong ballad that’s chalked full of life lessons, heartbreak, and the prospect of personal growth on the other side of it.

“Heart Breaks You” is available now on all digital and streaming platforms via 8 Track Entertainment and Average Joes Entertainment.

Written by Connie Harrington, Houston Phillips, and Josh Dunne, the melody wraps itself in moody undertones that allows the softer touches of Grow’s smooth vocal to set the story scene in the opening verse of the 17-year-old, hot shot quarterback having his pic of any girl he wants and recklessly moving from one to the other while leaving them heartbroken in his destructive wake.

Like Grow, Ben Chism (BoomTown Saints) commands the second verse with a similar softness as he deepens the emotional strain that the female is left battling internally, crafting a self-torturous checklist of what the heartbreaking guy doesn’t even understand he’s leaving them reeling with; an emptiness when they check their phone all night long hoping for a text that never comes, the self-esteem plot twist of wondering what she did wrong, etc.

With an instrumental lift to emphasize the strike of the chorus, it hits bigger as at harmoniously blends all three dynamic voices into a boldly drawn accent of the harsh lessons and emotional wounds that are on the horizon when it’s his careless heart that gets shattered next:

‘Til a heart breaks YOU
And you’re ‘can’t sleep’ crazy
It hurts so bad drinkin’ don’t even phase ya
Can’t one night stand it, can’t don’t give a damn it
It’s just something that you gotta go through
Cause you can’t love somebody…I mean really love somebody
Like somebody really needs you to
‘Til a heart breaks YOU”

Lyrically recalling the richness of the 2010’s era, the song intriguingly offers perspective from the older and wiser passing down truth to the younger generation, which in this case comes as a stern warning to change your ways now so you don’t want to have to deal with the kind of heartbreak that you’re creating…Trust us, we’ve been there!
