JELLY ROLL - Get By- Stoney Creek Records/Republic Records
After months of speculation and swirling rumors of anticipation, multi-genre superstar Jelly Roll has announced the release of his brand-new album. In celebration of the announcement, he also unveiled a new track that will be featured on the forthcoming record. “Get By” is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via Stoney Creek Records / Republic Records.
In stark contrast to some of his recent releases, “Get By” utilizes an undoubtedly-irresistible catchy hook to immediately entice the listener to toe-tap and sway to the modern country-rock beat. Jelly’s raspy-powerful vocal delivery is in full force from the onset, crooning through the autobiographical simplistic lyrics from start to finish.
“I might drink a little
I might smoke a lot
Counting down the good times
Staring down the clock
Throw some hallelujahs
To the big man in the sky
Show up Sunday morning
Looking just like last night
Yeah that’s how I get by”
This is an upbeat track that makes you want to move and sing along, while still offering Jelly’s trademark niche of self-reflection and unapologetic truth. A sure-to-be fan favorite and future hit, this is a release that will appeal to the masses of fans across multiple genres.
The honesty, vulnerability, and strength through internal vs. external struggles exonerated in this song, and all of his songs, is what is so captivating. This is the latest chapter in the music catalogue from a man who was at once at the depths of defeat and is now surging with success and populating, continuing to powerfully impact fans with meaningful tunes long after their first listen.
The highly-anticipated follow up to his record-breaking country debut, ‘Whitsitt Chapel,’ ‘Beautifully Broken’ will be released on October 11th. Featuring previous releases including the current Top 15 hit “I Am Not Okay” as well as the fan-favorite track “Liar”, as well as “Get By”, the forthcoming record promises to be one of the biggest of all of 2024.
The reigning CMA New Artist of the Year kicked off his Beautifully Broken Tour in Salt Lake City on August 27th, and will stretch through the end of October. The nationwide trek, which will feature openers Warren Zeiders and Alexandra Kay, will hit major markets from coast to coast, offering a variety of his biggest hits and new tunes off ‘Beautifully Broken’.
