KEITH URBAN - Heart Like A Hometown - A Hit Red Records/Capitol Records Nashville

Country music megastar Keith Urban is set to release his highly-anticipated 11th studio album, ‘HIGH’, on September 20th.  The award-winning chart-topper has just offered what may be the final preview of the forthcoming record.  “Heart Like A Hometown” is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via Capital Records Nashville.

As is the case with most of his music, “Heart Like A Hometown” carries a theme that is close to Urban to which he can personally relate.

“When I was a kid, our family moved around a lot,” said Urban.  “So, a ‘hometown’ felt more about my family, and a place inside of me, somewhere I could find my center.  It’s a theme that’s always spoken to me. “

As we have seen over the years, Keith shines in musical moments of collaborative sharing of mid-tempo melodies and thought-provoking lyrics.  That admirable combination is once again showcased in “Heart Of A Hometown”, with its edgy riffs and delicately modern vibe articulately supporting the quick, poetic story-telling lyrics through Urban’s trademark country dialect.

“If you only find yourself lonely in a city crowd

Wonderin’ if it’s too late to turn around

Baby, you already know, you ain’t even gotta ask

Jump in your car, put the pedal down

No matter how

Gone that you get, long that it’s been

I know that you left

But I’ll still let you right back in”

Serving as the fifth song released off ‘HIGH’, “Heart Like A Hometown” follows current single “Messed Up As Me”, as well as “Straight Line”, “GO HOME W U” with Lainey Wilson, and “Wildside.”  Collectively, the songs resonate with Urban’s approach to songwriting and his life as a musician in general, one that has been the mainstay throughout his award-winning career.

“When I’m writing a song, or when I’m in the studio recording it, or even when it’s coming to life on the stage, it’s the same feeling of being ‘in the flow’,” Keith said.  “It’s timeless, it’s weightless – and I feel euphoric – I feel HIGH.”

In addition to the new album, Urban will be launching “KEITH URBAN’S HIGH in Vegas”, ten exclusive shows at Fountainebleau in Las Vegas, on Friday, October 4th.  Additional shows will take place on October 5, 9, 11 and 12, as well as February 14, 15, 19, 21, and 22 in 2025.
