LEE BRICE - Summer of Us - Curb Records

By now, most fans know of Lee Brice’s rise to fame in country music.  Originally making a name for himself in Music City as a talented songwriter, the CMA and ACM award winner took the next step as a recording artist and hasn’t looked back since, charting nine No. 1 singles at radio and collaborating with some of the biggest stars in the genre and selling out shows across the nation.

On his latest release, the acclaimed-songwriter joined forces with a trio of other talents on a nostalgic track released at the perfect time of year.  “Summer Of Us” is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via Curb Records.

“Summer holds so many great memories for all of us – vacation time with the family, backyard barbeques with neighbors and friends, or finding young love,” Brice said.  “This song brings back a lot those memories for me and I hope it does the same for everyone who hears it.”

Written by Brice along with Ben Glover, Billy Montana, and Joe Leathers, this is an upbeat summer anthem to its core, taking the listener on a trip down memory lane, paying homage to the laid-back, fun-loving times of years past coronated as a fun-loving, upbeat sing-along ode from start to finish.

“Red light, main street, back seat, graduation gown

Two lanes, four wheels, lake house out on the edge of town

Party all night, wake up sleeping on the ground

Blue lights, hold your beer down, Jesus, hold your breath

High beats outta nowhere scared us half to death

Don’t tell Daddy, I’m afraid he ain’t got no patience left”

Produced by Glover and Jerrod Niemann, the up-tempo melody provides the perfect support to the quick, clever lyrical delivery of Brice, painting an articulate picture of favorite memories of yesteryear to which we can all relate.

With every release, Brice offers something new into the musical repertoire while always instilling the elements we have come to love so much about him over the years.  Moments of “Summer Of Us” are an escape from what we typically hear from him, but still re-settles within the confines of what we adore the most.

It seems like a lifetime ago that Lee was a songwriter on Music Row penning tunes for some of the industry’s names.  Now, the Curb Records recording artist has accumulated over 3.7 billion on-demand streams and over 4 billion spins on Pandora, while playing headlining gigs across the country.  His latest album, ‘Hey World,’ has been certified Platinum, and his latest single, “Drinkin’ Buddies”, featuring Nate Smith and Hailey Whitters, has been impacting radio stations from coast to coast.
