Country music superstar Miranda Lambert has released a brand-new track, one that continues the trend of empowerment headlined by her current single “Wranglers”. 

“Dammit Randy”, a proud, outspoken anthem about rediscovering oneself and moving on from a relationship of emotional toxicity, is available everywhere via Republic Nashville / Big Loud Records.

“This song came out of a conversation the night before Jon Randall and I went into the studio to make this album”, Lambert said.  “We were talking about how excited we were to be starting this journey with a new label family and how supported we felt by them, which turned into chatting about situations where you might not feel so supported by someone – in this song’s case, an unappreciative Randy.  So, this one’s for anyone with a Randy they need to move on from.”

The vibe, lyrics, and approach to this song collectively contribute to a relatable track about power, control, and self-respect.  It’s a prideful tune and one that embodies confidence, bravado, and the willingness to stand up for who you are and what you believe, and realize that you deserve better than what you had and were willing to do something about it.

In essence, “Dammit Randy” is a battle-cry for the unappreciated woman in a relationship that has ended, offering a nostalgic bittersweet look back at what was….maybe without the “sweet”.  With empowering lyrics and an aggressively-induced, guitar-driven melody to match, this is a song that will take listeners on a journey through the varying chapters while showcasing musical elements of Lamber’s illustrious career.

The cleverly-crafted lyrics are delivered through Miranda’s trademark twangy, confident vocal demeanor, which is riddle with ebbs and flows that take the song’s emotional impact to a whole new level.

Following the conclusion of her twice-extended, critically acclaimed Velvet Rodeo Las Vegas residency, Lambert has select dates schedule throughout the summer and fall, as well as a special “Music for Mutts” benefit concert set for October 5^th at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater.  The most-awarded artist in Academy of Country Music history and three-time Grammy award winner released her most recent full-length album, ‘Palomino,’ in 2022, which featured the standout singles “Strange,” “Actin’ Up”, and “Geraldine”.
