DYLAN SCOTT - I Owe You One - Curb Records

Following the release of his ‘Livin’ My Best Life (Still)’ deluxe album in March, Dylan Scott is back with the first taste of new music, paying homage to his hometown and those around him growing up that shaped who he has become today.  “I Owe You One” is available now, both digitally and on all streaming platforms, via Curb Records.

Written by Morgan Wallen, Ernest K. Smith, Ashley Gorley, and producer Mark Holman, this is an ode to his upbringing and the way of life he was taught growing up.  Focusing life, love, heartbreak, and redemption, the tune embraces how those lessons shaped who he is today.

“’I Owe You One’ speaks right to me, the way I grew up, and the people I grew up with,” Scott said.  “I really connect with this song and think it’s a cool way to say thank you to everything and everyone who raised me.”

One of the trademarks of Dylan’s music over the years has been its unapologetic approach to infuse other genres’ elements into his brand of country.  Always lending itself to the modern vibe of the genre, “I Owe You One” features a mid-tempo, rhythmic vibe and melody that could musically land itself on radio.  Scott’s vocal delivery and natural twang bring the tune back to the country side a bit, as this song truly represents who he is as an artist and the sound he has created, much to the delight of his exponentially-growing fan base.

“’Cause I’m just a product of where I’m from

A little here for good, a little on the run

Late nights countin’ empty cans

Just one of the boys, yeah, that’s all I am

‘Cause I lay my head down and send one up

Pour a little extra somethin’ in my cup

Doin’ what I do ‘cause of what you’ve done

You know who you are, yeah, I owe you one”

‘Livin’ My Best Life (Still)’, released March 29th, is a 26-song collection that became his highest-charted album on the Billboard Top 200 upon its release.  Featuring three No. 1 songs, two radio charting singles, and five Gold or Platinum singles, the record has taken Scott’s career to a new stratosphere.

In support of the release as well as future music, Dylan has been on the road as the direct support for Cole Swindell on his Win The Night Tour.  In addition to his run with Swindell, Scott will intertwine headlining gigs with special appearances at fairs, festivals, and events throughout the summer and into the fall.
